About Us

T.E.A.C.H., Inc. is a broad based, multi-purpose non-profit organization that was established in 1979. We administer a wide variety of programs funded by grants Federal, State and private funding sources. T.E.A.C.H. provides services to the entire population of Modoc County, not just the low income. Many programs are subcontracted T.E.A.C.H. from other county agencies.

Many programs are subcontracted T.E.A.C.H. from other county agencies. Some of the programs we provide, but not limited to, include Emergency Services, Child Care Resources, all the way to Basic Life Skills, and T.E.A.C.H Senior Services.

Coronavirus Resources

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19….

Emergency Services

Emergency services such as Homeless Assistance, Food Bank and Transportation are available based on individual needs and availability of funds.

Who We Are

Training, Employment and Community Help, Inc. (T.E.A.C.H., Inc.) was established in 1979 as a non-profit 501(c)3, and is the only diverse, multi-program community based non-profit in Modoc County.  T.E.A.C.H. is dedicated to assisting and empowering individuals and families to improve their quality of life and self-sufficiency.

T.E.A.C.H. manages almost 60 grants from various agencies including the California Department of Education, Department of Community Services and Development, Cal-OES, The California Judicial Council, California Department of Health Services, and the County of Modoc. The programs it administers encompass subsidized child care, domestic violence and sexual assault victim services, center-based child care centers, senior nutrition programs (congregate and homebound), adult education, Modoc Foster Family Agency, and housing programs.
