The Modoc Child Care Resource & Referral (R&R) program connects families, child care providers, and the community with the information, resources, and support needed to ensure children have access to safe, quality child care.

Family Services
We assist families by:
- Providing referrals to licensed child care providers
- Explaining child care options and available resources
- Assisting families with using license-exempt child care providers
- Providing information about child care financial assistance programs for eligible families
Provider Services
If you’re interested in becoming a child care provider, we can help guide you through the licensing process. We also support licensed providers by offering:
- Free professional development and training opportunities
- Information on child development and best practices
- Resources to strengthen quality child care programs
- Ongoing support and technical assistance
Car Seat Education
We provide education on California child passenger safety laws and the proper installation and use of car seats for infants, children, and youth.
Income-qualified families may also purchase car seats through our office at a reduced cost.
