Modoc Crisis Center

Modoc Crisis Center assists victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. 

Services we offer:

  • 24-Hour Hotline: 1-855-855-6745
  • Counseling – Counseling services may be accessed in-person, via Zoom, via telephone, and/or Facebook chat.
  • Emergency Response – You are entitled to have a victim advocate present if law enforcement responds to your location as a result of domestic violence or sexual assault.
  • Accompaniment – An advocate may attend court hearings, interviews with law enforcement, and emergency medical care.
  • Restraining Orders – An advocate can assist in completing requests for restraining orders. This includes typing, filing, and arranging service of the paperwork to the perpetrator.
  • Shelter – Short-term emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children.
  • Transitional Housing – Short term housing for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Guidelines apply.
  • Crisis Intervention – Detailed safety planning with a trained victim advocate. 
  • Educational Presentations – Presentations are provided to the community regarding safe dating, healthy relationships, consent, and many other topics. Contact us for more information.
  • Transportation assistance – Gas vouchers, bus tickets, and/or rides may be provided for court proceedings and/or medical care. 
  • Information/Referrals – Referrals to local agencies, and information about helpful resources in Modoc County and the surrounding areas.
  • Child Forensic Interviews – Modoc Crisis Center facilitates Child Forensic Interviews for cases of suspected child abuse. These interviews are requested by law enforcement.
