Modoc Foster Family Agency (FFA)

The Modoc Foster Family Agency (FFA) is dedicated to providing safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children and youth in foster care. Our mission is to recruit, train, approve, and support compassionate Resource Families who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and youth.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow in a safe, supportive, and caring family environment. Our experienced team works closely with Resource Families, county child welfare agencies, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to ensure children receive the care, stability, and resources they need to thrive.

The Modoc Foster Family Agency provides:

  • Resource Family recruitment and orientation
  • Guidance through the Resource Family Approval (RFA) process
  • Pre-service and ongoing training for Resource Families
  • Placement coordination
  • Individualized case management and support
  • Ongoing home visits and monitoring
  • Crisis intervention and consultation
  • Advocacy for children and Resource Families
  • Referrals and connections to community resources
  • Collaboration with county agencies and community partners to support successful placements
